Dr. Ilieva is a Research Associated Professor at the Department of Soil Genesis, Geography and Classification and Head of Laboratoty of Soil Micromorphology. She is an expert in Soil Science, Soil Pedology, Soil Morphology and Micromorphology with a solid experience in Soil Monitoring and Soil Classification; Sound knowledge and experience in European legislation (Directives), programs, and requirements for the Soil databases, Soil formation, Soil degradation and Soil conservation. Dr. Ilieva was involved in ENVASSO and SPADE2 projects.
