Biography
Daniel Moraetis born in Athens Greece. H attained primary school in Athens and high school in the island of Crete. He followed the first degree in Geology, in University of Athens. He then moved to Great Britain where he gained a Master Degree in Environmental Science and Management with Legislation. During his Master Degree he worked also as an auditor in major Waste Survey conducted by Environmental Agency in Great Britain. After his return in Greece, he worked one year for Technology Park of Crete and then he participated in national exams for PhD funded research. He successfully followed the exams and gained 3 years scholarship for a PhD in Technical University of Crete.
He completed his Phd thesis with two scientific publications in highly rank international journals. Since his PhD completion, Daniel Moraetis involved in several projects funded by European Union and numerous scientific publications came up. He also took a permanent contract with Technical University of Crete where he involved in lab demonstration and teaching in laboratory of Hydrogeochemical Engineering and Remediation of Soils. Moreover, his latest scientific research interest is the use of Rare Earth Elements for identification of unsustainable agriculture practices and water impacted by degraded soils.
