Dr Panagos is scientific officer at the JRC since 2001. Initially, he was involved in database administration and development of GIS and Web applications. Since 2006, he has been Scientific Officer in Action SOIL with major responsibilities for soil data management, the development/maintenance of the European Soil Portal and the implementation of the European Soil Data Center (ESDAC). He is also involved in the development of the Multi-Scale Soil Information System (MEUSIS). Mr. Panagos is also involved in several FP7 research projects such as Geoland 2, DIGISOIL, iSoil, eSOTER.
