Professor Ragnarsdottir is the Dean of the School of Engineering and Natural Sciences. She has a long track record leading large, multidisciplinary research projects. They include the FP5 FatePride project with institutions from around Europe specialising in biochemistry, neuroscience, veterinary science, medicine, geochemistry and soil science: the FP6 Special Support Action SoilCritZone that brings together soil scientists, Earth scientists, hydrologists, and environmental engineers and the FP6 MC-EST MISSION project which trains 8 PhD students in Bristol between the Departments of Earth Sciences and Physics and the Interface Analysis Centre. She is a partner in the FP6 CA RISKBASE project. Ragnarsdottir was a member of the FP7 Scientific Advisory Group and is a Fellow of the Icelandic Academy of Sciences.
