Johan Valstar is a senior hydrogeologist at the research institute Deltares, in the Netherlands.

Johan has a wide experience in groundwater flow and transport modelling. He has developed numerical codes for calibration of groundwater flow and transport models and extended numerous transport codes to incorporate the desired biogeochemical reactions. He has been working on numerous applied research projects in the Netherlands and Europe.
