Dr van Gaans is a geochemist experienced in soil and water quality research for 25 years. She has supervised eight PhD students. She is senior consultant Soil Management at Deltares/TNO. Her work focuses on European sustainable soil management and she is a core partner in the EU FP6 SoilCritZone project.
